Marvel Heroes servers are shutting down effective immediately, over a month before the projected sunset date.

Today the Marvel Heroes Twitter account announced that Gazillion is closing, and as a result, the game “will be sunset immediately on all platforms.” The team originally planned to support Marvel Heroes Omega until December 31.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the closing of Gazillion Entertainment” the post says. “The company would like to sincerely thank its fans and employees for all the support over years of development and live service.”

Marvel Heroes Omega launched on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 earlier this year, and players could select characters from across the Marvel Universe. Not long ago, Marvel informed us that they had ended their relationship with Gazillion, and that the game would be shut down.
