If you aren’t educated on cell phone, know that you are not the only one. With the amount of options out there, knowing the right cell phone to purchase can be hard. The article below will provide some great tips that will help you maximize your options to improve your cell phone experience.

Restart your phone to erase memory that is not needed. Doing this about every two or three days will definitely help your phone’s performance.

TIP! Restarting your cell phone on occasion is going to help free memory that is being used by applications you use often. This will help your phone to perform to the best of its ability if you do this once every few days.

Don’t automatically throw your phone away if it was dropped into liquid. Take the battery out and put it into a bowl full of rice. This can reduce the amount of moisture that’s in your phone.

If your signal is 4G or LTE, then be mindful about your video watching. Most plans only allow you a certain amount of data transfer every month. Videos use up a lot of data, so you may have unexpected charges. If overages are a common occurrence for you, then you need to rethink your plan.

Don’t be in such a rush to get the latest phone. Many times, it’s not necessary. Many times when the companies may changes to their phones, they are very minor. Look at reviews online before deciding that upgrading to the newest phone is something you need to do. It’s likely you don’t.

TIP! Be careful not to watch too much video while using your cell phone out of wi-fi range. Most plans only allow you a certain amount of data transfer every month.

Is your battery dying quickly? It could be because of a weak signal if that’s the case. The fact is that poor signals can cause a battery to die sooner. When you aren’t using your phone, make sure you don’t keep it in a place where it doesn’t get a good signal, as in a closet or drawer.

Be very careful regarding extended warranties. These additional costs are typically just that and nothing more. Most cell phones that fail break down within the first twelve months. Plus, a lot of individuals get new phones on a yearly basis, so having an extended warranty is not worth it.

Smartphones will actually run slower as they age. If so, installing new apps and updates to your phone can become difficult. If this is the case, you’ll have a decision to make. Try to always upgrade your phone for the better.

TIP! Don’t always get the newest phone. You may simply be wasting your money.

Don’t feel like you have to stick to one brand all the time. While you may think you only know how to use one type of phone, you should keep your mind open. Taking a chance with another phone might make you feel more satisfied with your choice.

While you may not know much about cell phones, it is quite normal. Technology can become overwhelming and there are constantly things to learn. Use the information from this article but continue to update yourself on the newest advances.
