Nacho bought this 1930s attic apartment in rough, raw shape. The old kitchen is where the current kitchen is today. The beautiful mezzanine (that houses the master bedroom) didn’t even exist. After two years of remodeling it solo, he was ready to enjoy his loft “for one.” But then he met Irene, and a little later, a third resident arrived: baby Ray! “It was supposed to be [a home] for one, and suddenly we were three,” Nacho says.

Having already renovated and/or designed 10+ homes together over the past 15 years, Delia and Júlio were already well on their way to capitalizing on their experience. They had lived in four of these homes together, all in Manhattan, ranging from trendy Soho to soulful Harlem. But it was the tree-lined brownstone neighborhood of Clinton Hill, Brooklyn that allowed them to use everything they learned over the years in this masterpiece of a home.
