Transparent Is Back For Its 4th Season This Week

While last year’s third season of Transparent could be considered a building year (they were nominated for Emmys only in acting categories this year, and none of them took home a statue last night), it set up plenty for the dysfunctional and somewhat self-destructive Pfefferman family to knock right down. And season four drops on Amazon this week, on September 22.

Another Margaret Atwood Book Is Becoming a TV Series Thanks to Netflix

Fans champing at the bit for a new season of The Handmaid’s Tale can take comfort in knowing that another Margaret Atwood novel is being developed into a series, too. The 1996 book, Alias Grace , takes place in the mid-1800s and centers around a woman who has been convicted of murdering a wealthy man and his housekeeper. The thing is, she seems to have no recollection of the incident, or much else – claiming to have amnesia.

Take a Look at Some of the Sets of Shows Up for Emmy Awards

Of course we watch TV for its entertainment value, but as design enthusiasts, we have a particular interest in the spaces where those shows take place. A set quite literally sets the scene, and is also a wealth of information into the character and their story. When a show has been around for a long time, the space becomes so familiar, like the home of a close friend or family member. Unsurprisingly, the shows nominated for Emmys take place on spectacular sets. Let’s take a look at some of our favorites from this year:

Here’s How “The Good Place” Season Two Will Look After That Un-Forking-Believable Finale

Season two of your new favorite afterlife-centric sitcom is coming back soon. On September 20, we’ll finally (hopefully) get to find out what happened to the good (and maybe not-so-good) people of The Good Place, after we left them at the end of a cliff-hangery season one finale.
