Think you’re real estate savvy? We put your market knowledge to the test with Which Costs More, a column where we pit two listings against each other, and you guess which one comes with the heftier price tag.

Today, we have two gorgeous homes in strong mid-century architectural styles, from different Southern cities. We’ll give you some details about each and see if you can guess which one costs more.

House #1: A Mid-Century Ranch in Raleigh, NC

This open floor plan ranch home features four bedrooms and three bathrooms across 3,402 square feet—1,900 on the first level and 1,500 in the finished basement with a kitchenette. There’s a two-sided fireplace, floor to ceiling windows, and a skylight over the master bathroom shower “that’s like showering outdoors.” The house was built in 1959 and renovated in 2016. For outdoor space, there’s a “Palm Springs inspired Astro turf patio that opens to a lush and natural backyard” on .48 acres. There’s a “deep” one car garage and carport, with two car charging stations—so Prius drivers, feel free to snatch this one up.

House #2: A Bauhaus Building in Atlanta, GA

Built in 1949, this four bedroom, four bathroom home encompasses 2,652 square feet across three floors. Great light from walls of windows and skylights. Located on a private .85 acre lot in the Springlake area of Atlanta. The third floor is a spacious master bedroom suite, with two balconies and a separate office. The property also has other outdoor space, including a deck and covered patio on the first level. While it’s not recently updated like the Raleigh house, “renovation of this home could certainly grace the pages of Architectural Digest” says the listing, and we’d have to agree.

Now’s your chance to guess—what do you think?
