Take the time to research the variety of all-natural methods that can hep your organic garden flourish. Once you learn about them, they are surprisingly easy to put into place.

When winter comes around, save some plants by putting them in the house. Maybe you’d like to save the most expensive plants you have or the most resistant. Carefully dig near the roots and transfer those plants into a flower pot.

Stink Bugs

While working in your garden during the fall season, watch out for those stink bugs! Stink bugs like to reside in tomatoes, beans, and pepper plants, as well as many fruits. If you do not keep them under control, the damage can be excessive, so keep an eye out for them.

It is very important to keep the weeds from taking over in your garden. Weeds can be extremely detrimental to your garden. White vinegar can be used as a natural herbicide. Weeds can be killed by white vinegar! Use a spray bottle full of white vinegar and you won’t have to use your hands.

TIP! When autumn has arrived, you must plant everything you want to eat before winter. Why not plant lettuce and kale inside a hollowed-out pumpkin? Cut an opening in the top of your pumpkin, scoop out the inside, and spray the entire thing with Wilt-Proof.

When dealing with any type of seeds in gardening, it’s important that you soak them overnight in a cool, dark location. Drop your seeds into a small jar that is filled with cold water. This lets water soak into the seeds, giving them an extra boost of hydration when they start growing. This way, the seeds will have a much better shot at survival once they are planted.

Try to grow some wheat or cat grass around your cat’s favorite plants. You could also place something that will cause your cat to go away from your plants, such as citrus peels or mothballs.

Make a plan for your garden. A thoughtful plan can remind you of previous plantings and what you will see appearing from the soil in the months of spring and summer. You might end up losing small plants in a large area, because you did not water them.

TIP! Make sure to protect your tender shrubs from the elements. If you have tender shrubs in pots, they need to be protected in the cold weather.

To keep your dog out of your garden, spray old perfume, aftershave, or other scented items in the grass around it. This can make scents that dogs are attracted to, and make your garden less interesting in general for pets.

You will garden more efficiently if you keep your tools close by. For example, you could use an over-sized tote bag or an apron with multiple pockets. Have shears, a trowel, gloves and other commonly used garden tools portable and easy to access.

Many people try to garden, but if you do not know what you are doing, you will not see the best results. Try using these organic tips.
