Most people will purchase more than one cell phone in their lifetime. Sadly, not everyone knows what they should be looking for in a new phone. Continue reading into the following paragraphs for some ideas you can use to really love a cell phone.

Restart your phone occasionally so you can rid it of memory from web sites. It should function much better as a result.

TIP! Restarting your cell phone on occasion is going to help free memory that is being used by applications you use often. This will increase the speed at which your smartphone performs.

If you phone gets wet, it isn’t necessarily beyond repair. The best thing for you to do is remove the battery, then place the phone into a bag or bowl of rice. It will help clear out any moisture that’s still sitting in the phone.

If you’re using a LTE or 4G signal, watch your video usage. Your cell phone probably has an allowance for the data you can use. You may run through your limit and rack up sizable charges without even realizing it. If you go over the limit fairly often, you might want to get a different plan.

Don’t get in a big hurry to make an update to the newest phone. You may simply be wasting your money. Newly released cell phones often have only minor changes and updates. Look for a few reviews about a new phone prior to buying it so you know whether or not it’s a great idea to update. There are many cases when this is not necessary.

TIP! If your phone gets dropped into water, do not panic and think that it is ruined. Just take the battery out and put it into a bowl full of rice.

Smartphones will slow down over time. Updating your phone on a regular basis can keep it from becoming obsolete. Unfortunately, as new phones come out, the updates are more powerful. When this happens, you will need to purchase a new phone.

If you do have a smartphone, you are probably utilizing the device quite often. Switch them off occasionally. In this way, they are like computers. Reboots allow the memory to clear and keeps the phone running faster. You should see a major difference with your phone if you turn it off occasionally.

Extra Costs

TIP! Be careful watching YouTube with an LTE or 4G signal. Your cell phone plan likely comes with a data allowance for the month.

Be aware of extended warranties. These are extra costs that tend to only be extra costs. If cell phones fail, you usually see this within the first year, and the phone is typically still under the basic warranty. As well, annual cell phone buyers will see absolutely no benefit to extending the warranty.

Cell phones are used nearly as much as any tech tool today. You need to know what to expect so that you get a cell phone that really matches what you want. Hopefully, you’ve just learned everything you need to know to buy and use a cell phone.
