Alexis, an interior designer, was nervous but excited about rooting down in The Woodlands, a large suburb outside of Houston. The allure of a quiet, wooded neighborhood appealed to Alexis and her husband, having come from living a fast-paced life in New York City. Over the last four years, Alexis has worked hard to replace the builder-grade features that came with her home with her personal aesthetic.
