Secrets to Steal from an Interior Stylist’s Chic Home

Blogger and freelance stylist Ruth Matthews shares her beautifully designed London home with her husband Dan and son Ted. Each room is filled with an array of vintage and modern furniture, textured woods, clever art, energetic patterns and bold color. Ruth says she has “an eye that lives for color, pattern and patina,” and her home is full of smart styling ideas to steal.

This Weekend: Give the Proverbial Squeaky Wheel a Little Grease — Weekend Project

It’s easy to forget about all the little things in our home that are broken or just not working. Your goal for the weekend: feel a little bit better about your space.

Test Your Shopping Savvy: Can You Spot the Steal?

Many moons ago, it was quite easy to spot the difference (at least from afar) between high-end furniture and decor, and less-quality “bargain” pieces, but today? Not so much. It’s Time to Fall In Love With the Canopy Bed Again

As a little girl, I always dreamed (literally and figuratively) of having a canopy bed. The ceilings in my childhood bedroom weren’t super tall, so the four-poster just wasn’t in my destiny, unfortunately, and I eventually moved on from my adoration of the stately furnishing. But now, as a grown up (living in an apartment with vaulted ceilings), I wish I had stumbled upon the images that follow before buying my fully upholstered wingback bed.
